Jalapeno Popper Dip
Ingredients
- 6 slices of bacon
- 7 jalapeños - seeds removed and finely chopped
- 8 oz cream cheese - at room temperature
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup cheddar cheese- shredded
- 1 cup pepper jack cheese- shredded
- ½ cup green onions- chopped
- 1 4 tbsp onion powder, divided
- ½ sleeve Ritz crackers - crushed
- 2 tbsp parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp chives- minced
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper and lay bacon across the baking sheet. When the oven is heated, add bacon and cook for 8-12 minutes, until desired crispiness! Set aside.
2. Meanwhile in a large mixing bowl add finely chopped and seeded jalapenos, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, shredded cheddar and pepper jack cheese, chopped green onions and 1 tbsp onion powder. Mix well to combine all the flavors and transfer to an 8x8 baking dish.
3. Add the crushed Ritz crackers, remaining ¼ tbsp onion powder and parmesan cheese to a separate bowl to mix. Spread the mixture evenly over the cheese dip. Bake at 400 degrees F for 25 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Once you take out of the oven, spread the minced chives over the top and serve with Ritz crackers.
4. Enjoy with a glass of Franzia Chillable Red!
